What is Shockwave Therapy?
Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive, rehabilitation service that stimulates the body's natural healing process. It helps relieve pain, promoting rapid recovery from sprains, fractures, and muscle pain. It accomplishes this by releasing growth factors in the injured tissue, which helps regulate tendon repair.
This treatment is considered more effective than corticosteroid injections with less risk and is more effective than stem-cell injections for regenerative effects in soft tissues and joints. As part of our whole treatment system for frozen shoulder, it is more effective than injections or surgery with a shorter recovery time.
How Does it Work?
Shockwave therapy speeds up your body's natural healing process by stimulating and enhancing blood flow to regenerate damaged tissue. It sends strong energy pulses to the affected area, triggering the body's natural healing response.
In 25-30 minutes of physical therapy, we use 8-15k of radial and focused shockwaves compared to our competitors, who only utilize 2-4k pulses over 5-10 minutes with a radial pulse machine. These pulses penetrate tissue, stimulating cell regeneration in the body.
Our patients receive both types of shockwave therapy:
